Memory Card

Choosing the right memory card is more important than many photographers realise — a slow card can cause your camera to buffer between shots, limit video recording quality, or simply take a long time to transfer files to your computer. The two key specifications are capacity (measured in GB) and speed (measured in MB/s or a Video Speed Class rating such as V30 or V60). For general photography, a 64GB or 128GB card rated V30 or above is a solid choice. For 4K video or high-speed burst shooting, look for V60 or V90 rated cards. Always buy from a reputable source — counterfeit memory cards are common online and can result in lost images.
