The Panasonic LEICA DG VARIO-ELMAR 100-400 mm F4.0-6.3 II ASPH. / Power O.I.S (H-RSA100400) is a Leica designated high quality telephoto zoom lens for Micro Four Thirds mount camera systems. This updated100-400 mark 2 / II version offers compatibility with tele-converters for even greater reach. A powerful 4x, 200-800mm equivalent zoom on 2x crop M43 sensors. Dust and splash-proof with fantastic optical performance featuring 20 elements in 13 groups with UMC coatings. Perfect for sports, birdwatching, nature and wildlife photography requiring a long reaching zoom, the Panasonic 100-400mm lens also houses the advanced power optical image stabilisation for ultra steady shots even in the most challenging of light. Takes 72mm filters.
The Panasonic 100-400mm is a great lens for shooting both stills and video, and liked by wildlife and sports photographers using the M43 mount system cameras. The high-speed AF motor is both quiet and precise, and a focus limiter function can be employed to constrain the focusing range for even quicker performance. Additionally, the physical design of the lens features construction that improves dust and moisture resistance for use in inclement weather conditions. It is relatively lightweight and compact so is still suitable for hand-held shooting. The 100-400mm f/4-6.3 also features a removable rotating tripod collar for fast switching between horizontal and vertical shooting when working with a monopod or tripod.
